My name is Owen Grady, and ever since I was a kid, I was fascinated by games as an artform. Growing up playing a variety of strange independently developed games on an old hand-me-down computer opened my eyes to the possibilities of an interactive medium, beyond games just being fun time wasters.
The idea of hand curating an emotionally powerful experience became my motivating factor. But anyone can have ideas; I needed to focus time and energy into learning about game development, common practices, working in industry, and even prototyping games of my own.
Now, with multiple years of college experience under my belt and a game soon to be published to Steam, I can safely say that I don’t just think of interesting ideas. I think of ways to communicate across disciplines, develop working proof-of-concepts, and deliver fascinating and enjoyable end products that deliver on a cohesive vision.
